About Our Project
Every year, students in Mrs. Ray’s classroom at Seward Elementary School partner with various organizations and businesses in their community to provide accurate and entertaining information about their hometown, Seward, Alaska.
This place-based learning project emphasizes cooperative learning, reaching out to the local community, engaging tourists to stimulate our local economy, learning from people of all ages, and presenting information using 21st century skills.
